Police located missing Travis Leon Rodd who removed his electronic monitoring device more than a week ago

Police captured a man a week after he removed a tracking device and ran away.

Travis Leon Rodd took off his electronic monitoring bracelet on May 19 around 4:30 p.m.

Albany detectives issued a public appeal for his whereabouts the next day, asking anyone with information about his recent movements or location to come forward.

Police announced on Friday that the 45-year-old, who is known to frequent the areas around Albany, Mt Barker and Katanning, has been located.

He had been missing for 11 days.

Members of the public were asked not to approach Mr Rodd if seen.
