Police say new evidence gathered in JonBenét Ramsey killing
Nearly three decades since the mysterious murder of JonBenét Ramsey, Colorado police say her unsolved case remains a top priority.
One annual updateThe Boulder Police Department is urging anyone with information about the 1996 murder of a 6-year-old beauty queen at her childhood home to come forward. Ramsey’s murder captivated international audiences for decades.
Last year, Police Chief Stephen Redfearn said detectives conducted many new interviews based on tips received and also collected and tested new evidence. They did not release information about what new evidence was collected.
Meanwhile, police re-interviewed people and retested other evidence, particularly related to improving DNA technology.

On the morning of December 26, 1996, John and Patsy Ramsey called 911 after finding a ransom note for their missing daughter. John Ramsey later found JonBenét Ramsey dead in the basement of their home.
