Police shot dead alleged domestic violence perpetrator

Queensland police have shot and killed an alleged domestic violence perpetrator at a home north of Brisbane with a firearm.

Just after midnight on Sunday morning, police officers responded to an alleged domestic violence incident at a home in Narangba following reports that a man was armed and making threats.

The man held a gun and made threats to the police, and a police officer shot him.

Police teams immediately provided first aid and first aid, but the man died at the scene.

No one else was injured in the incident.

The Police Ethical Standards Command will investigate the incident under the supervision of the Crime and Corruption Commission.

Investigations continue.
