Search for owners of 25-year-old park handprints

Search efforts are continuing to catch those who left their handprints on an exhibition or sponsored a plaque in the city park 25 years ago.

Whatman Park in Maidstone is celebrating its silver jubilee with a series of celebrations planned.

These include a concert funded by Maidstone Borough Council which will take place on July 18; Anyone who puts their handprint on the wall will have a chance to win a VIP ticket.

Ian Tucker, chairman of the Maidstone River Park Anniversary Committee, said: “The handprints and sponsor names around the park tell the story of a huge community effort and we would love to reconnect with as many of these people as possible as we celebrate 25 years of River Park.”
