Oak Ridge Boys singer Richard Sterban diagnosed with pancreatic cancer

Richard Sterban from Oak Ridge Boys shared a destructive health update with fans.
82 -year -old musician Group’s website On Thursday, September 25, to announce that he had been diagnosed with pancreas cancer.
“Pancreatic cancer was diagnosed in March this year.” He said. “But I am under the care of the best cancer doctors in the country, and I believe that I can achieve this with the help of the good Lord above.”
“I want to thank everyone, especially fans, for your concern and appreciate your ongoing prayers. Most days I feel very good and I hope to leave in a few months.”

Sterban has been a member of Oak Ridge Boys for more than 50 years in 1972. During his performance at the Country Music Academy Awards in May, Aaron McCune and Tim Duncan had recently filled him during the group’s tour.
“I want to thank everyone, especially fans, for your concern and appreciate your ongoing prayers. Most days I feel very good and I hope to leave in a few months.”
The announcement took place a year after the late band member Joe Bonsell died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) complications. In January 2024, Bonsall announced in his diagnosis that he would no longer go for a “impossible to walk”.
“This has been a big 50 years, and I am grateful for all the Oak Ridge Boys Band crew and staff for continuous love and support shown through everything.” “I will never forget, and I thank you for those who pray for me all the time and I want you to continue praying.”

The popular country and Gospel music group were initially founded in 1943 and initially known as Oak Ridge Quartet. Over the years, there were many members of the group.
The group consisted of baritone William Lee GoldenTenor Bonsalll, Bass Richard Sterban and Chief Vocalist Duane Allen.
Allen spoke to FOX News about his relationship with Golden, Bonsall and Sterban in January 2021 and said, “I think we have grown closer to all of our four of our careers.”
Allen, “We all matured in good friends. We’ve always been close. We’ve always been good friends. But when things exploded around you and when your career exploded to the public, then the little complaints that we might have against one of them explode,” Allen said.

He continued: “We passed throughout the time and we lived through it and we realized that the things we love about each other and what we have accomplished with each other were much more important than the little things that could break us.”
