Obama backs Virginia Democrats in redistricting election via TV ads

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – As the Commonwealth of Virginia and the nation woke up to Democrats’ nefarious efforts to disenfranchise GOP voters with a ridiculous new district map that gave them 10 House representatives to just one for Republicans, former President Barack Obama was enlisted to help them get across the finish line.

As voters prepare to head to the polls on Tuesday, Obama comes from the stage to be closer.

The former president appears to be appearing in more television commercials these days than when he was at the top of politics. In his soft, pleasant tone, he tells Virginians that giving 90% of Congressional seats in the Old Dominion to Democrats when more than 45% of Virginians are Republicans is creating “fairness.”

We can almost see George Orwell giving a sarcastic golf clap.

He also reassures everyone that the measure is temporary; Democrats will disenfranchise working-class voters in the southern part of the state just once, and then it will be back to normal in 2030, you know, barring another emergency…

In many ways, it’s telling that Barack Obama said, “If You Like Your Doctor, You Can Keep Your Doctor.” Obama is the man Democrats think is their biggest weapon. Admittedly, he has a way with words when it comes to lying and cheating.

The lie began before Obama took office, when, as a candidate, he claimed that his deep Christian beliefs compelled him to oppose gay marriage; a pettiness that his chief aide, David Axelrod, eventually not only admitted was a lie, but also laughed at.

And make no mistake, they were laughing at the voters.

Lies increased during his presidency. Obamacare didn’t let you keep your doctor, the Benghazi attack didn’t start with a YouTube video, he actually drew a red line in Syria over chemical weapons he failed to defend.

Now, we also learn from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard that Obama played a key role in his administration’s investigative efforts and, let’s be honest, efforts to smear Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential race.

As if all that wasn’t enough, bringing everything closer to Virginia is Obama lying about Trump’s 2017 Charlottesville speech; It was Trump saying there were very good people on both sides of the Confederate status debate, and that speech was twisted to make me think he was supporting White supremacists.

One way to tell that Obama and the Democrats are lying about redistricting is that, aside from their lips moving, they either refuse to show the new map in their ads or say it gives them a 10-to-1 advantage instead of the current 6-5 split.

If Virginia Democrats had adopted a more modest plan that gave them an 8-3 advantage, they could have shown the map and explained what they were actually doing. But they overdid it and can’t do it anymore.

So why do Democrats think Obama is the one who can effectively disguise their heinous power grab as a much-needed act of justice? Because it has always been his job to mask radical and dangerous policies as common-sense moderate positions.

In the 1970s and 1980s, Democrats were desperate for the “next JFK,” and they finally found one, of sorts, in Bill Clinton. Today, the party is still searching for the next Obama, but since it hasn’t found one yet, Barry must still fill that role.

One would think that any Democrat with an eye on the White House, which holds about 8,000 people, would stumble in Virginia. After all, they want to be perceived as warriors. So where are they?

Where are Gavin Newson, Pete Buttigieg and Kamala Harris?

Virginia Democrats, led by moderately dressed radical Gov. Abigail Spanberger, have created a map so unfair, so toxic, that no one wants to commit to it except Obama, who will never run again.

In the final days of this border-redefining election, Democrats are entering the hall of fame, not their own. Every day Obama suits up and walks onto the field is an old timer’s day.

Does Obama still have his political mojo? Is there the power to move the needle and bring the disenfranchisement of poor White voters to the top?

Democrats believe so, and if they win on Tuesday, they expect to see a lot more of Obama from now until the 2028 presidential election.
