Powerful 6.1 magnitude earthquake strikes Türkiye, three building collapsed, no causalities reported

A strong earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred in western Türkiye on Monday. According to the statement made by the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), the epicenter of the earthquake was the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir. It was struck at 22:48 local time (1948 GMT) at a depth of 5.99 kilometers (3.72 miles), AP reported.
At least three buildings damaged by previous earthquakes collapsed. There was no loss of life in the incident, only a few injuries were reported.
According to the Haberturk news channel, the tremors were felt in Bursa, Manisa and Izmir provinces as well as Istanbul.
