Primrose Hill stabbing: Young filmmaker Finbar Sullivan remembered as ‘beautiful, lovely boy’

A 21-year-old boy stabbed to death in a London park is “never irreplaceable”, his grieving father says.

Finbar Sullivan was stabbed during a fight at his Primrose Hill viewpoint on Tuesday. Despite the intervention of medical teams, it was determined that the person died at the scene.

Inside An interview with Daily MailChristopher Sullivan said his son wants to be a cinematographer like his New Zealand grandfather, Michael Seresin. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and numerous Alan Parker films.

The cinema student went to the park to use the new camera he received for his birthday.

“This is the worst tragedy I can imagine,” his 65-year-old father told the newspaper on Thursday.

“He is my only son… I had him when I was 45. He can never be replaced.

“He had gotten a new camera, we all pitched in for his 21st birthday and he took it there to do some filming.”

Mr Sullivan, founder and musician of the 1980s band Blue Rondo a la Turk, added: “I’m so heartbroken I can’t believe it.

“He was such a beautiful, nice, outgoing, loving kid. He was just a really nice person.”

“And we have no idea why he was targeted.”

Mr Sullivan said he rushed to Primrose Hill as soon as he became aware of the incident, with police video footage circulating on the internet on Wednesday.

“I got the call about six o’clock that there had been a stabbing, so I ran over there immediately,” Mr. Sullivan said. Daily Mail.

“I wasn’t allowed in because it was a crime scene and he had gone through 20 minutes of CPR at that point. He was obviously dead.

“This is Primrose Hill, for God’s sake… it’s like Hyde Park. It’s not somewhere you’d expect that.”

Finbar Sullivan was a student at the London Screen Academy and produced music videos for drill rap artists under the name Sully Shot It. Daily Mail reported.

Although the drill scene was associated with gang violence, Mr. Sullivan denied his son’s involvement.

“All I can tell you is that he was the subject of a random stabbing. He was not a gang member,” Mr Sullivan said..

“He was a cool 21-year-old guy who loved movies and making movies. He didn’t drink, he didn’t smoke, he didn’t go out.”

“He would stay home six nights a week and edit his films. [grandfather’s footsteps] and be a cameraman.

“He recently made a video for Vivienne Westwood’s son, Joseph Corre.

“We were just about to start a company together… He was supposed to do his show with me today. And now he’s dead.”

Mr Sullivan added: “His friend was stabbed in the back and hands while trying to protect him.

“My son has always tried to be there for people, so the attacker may have been bullying someone.”

The Metropolitan Police urged “anyone with any information, including photographs or video” to get in touch.
