Prince Harry ‘advised’ Brooklyn Beckham before he went nuclear | UK | News

Prince Harry is reportedly mentoring Brooklyn Beckham following his explosive statements about his parents, football icon David Beckham, 50, and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, 51.

The 26-year-old broke years of silence on Instagram this week and publicly called out his parents’ alleged efforts to “ruin” his marriage to Nicola Peltz. He condemned his family’s treatment of his wife and implied that Victoria had deliberately upstaged him during their wedding celebrations.

According to Radar Online, the Duke of Sussex, 41, has endured similar circumstances himself and has taken Brooklyn under his wing as he deals with the fallout from this very public family dispute. Remarkably, Harry and Brooklyn’s wedding experiences share remarkable parallels.

Sources suggest that Harry, who realized the devastating impact of the family’s rifts following his departure from the Royal Family in 2020, noticed striking similarities between their respective situations. An insider revealed that following his statements, he offered the young star guidance on managing media attention.

Harry is said to have insisted Brooklyn exercise restraint in making his account public. He reportedly warned that once the narrative emerged, it was impossible to take it back.

“Harry sees a lot of himself in Brooklyn,” Rob Shuter said, quoting a source. “He doesn’t want Brooklyn to make the same emotional and strategic mistakes he made when he first left.”

They continued, “Harry told him: Don’t burn everything down at once. You only get one chance to tell your story the right way.”

Prince Harry, who revealed his own family’s private affairs in his explosive memoir Spare, emphasized that “honesty works best when it is controlled, thoughtful and humane.”

“He told her that freedom is real, but so are its consequences. You lose people. You get misunderstood. And once it’s there, you can’t take it back.”

“This is mentorship born of wounds,” the source said. “Harry’s trying to help you get through the part no one prepared you for.”

Just a few days ago, Brooklyn announced on Instagram: “I have remained silent for years and have made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my family and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me no choice but to speak out for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”

He continued: “I don’t want to make peace with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.

“My entire life, my family has controlled the media narratives about our family. Performative social media posts, family events, and inauthentic relationships have been fixtures of the life I was born into,” she explained.

“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes how far they will go to spread countless lies to the media, often at the expense of innocent people, in order to protect their own image. But I believe that the truth always comes out.”

A follow-up post detailed how Brooklyn claimed her parents intended to “ruin her relationship.”

The 31-year-old American actress married Peltz in 2022, but the couple’s marriage caused serious tension in the Beckham family.

Brooklyn said: “My mum and dad have been trying non-stop to destroy my relationship since my wedding and it hasn’t stopped.

“Mum canceled making Nicola’s dress at the eleventh hour, despite how excited she was to wear Nicola’s design and pushing her to find a new dress urgently.

“Weeks before our big day, my family repeatedly pressured and tried to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would affect me, my wife, and our future children.”
