Prince Harry will take a trip to the UK in July amid rumors of a reconciliation. The prince is visiting for the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham next year. But former Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown accused Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of trying to use their children to ensure security during the visit. In a grim two-word warning, Brown said he believed it was “too late” for Harry to reconcile with his family.
Prince Harry will be making the trip from his home in Montecito, California, and reportedly planned to bring Meghan Markle along with her two children, seven-year-old Archie and five-year-old Lilibet. But now it is becoming increasingly unclear who will join him due to security concerns.
Writing on Fresh Hell Substack, Tina said: “If Harry thought bringing his children would force Ravec’s hand, as is often the case, he was hopelessly wrong.
“Currently the Palace is on the hook for greater scrutiny of royal finances because of the Andrew Windsor-Mountbatten scandals.
“As if he had learned nothing from his battle with Ravec over the last six years, Harry fled like a blaster when once again the family was denied official police protection and, as a source close to him reported, the rug was ‘pulled out from under his feet at the 11th hour’.
“What carpet? The only carpet under the Sussexes is a flying carpet on which they travel the world in a persistent cloud of illusion.”
Tina added: “The surprising thing about both Harry and Meghan is their tendency to repeatedly make premature announcements before the underlying facts are revealed.
“In fact, all their troubles in the last six years, starting with Megxit itself, stemmed from magical thoughts that what they wanted would instantly become reality.”
The visit will be the first time Prince Harry’s children have visited the UK in four years. He has previously spoken of his desire to bring his two children back to the country of their birth.
The BBC reported that it was not clear what the security arrangements for the visit would be.
