Prince Harry kept a low profile while going out without his wife Meghan Markle.
The 41-year-old appeared alone on the sidelines of a polo match in Montecito, California, to watch close friend Nacho Figueras’ son Artemio compete.
Harry dressed casually in charcoal shorts and a black polo shirt with the number three on it.
He hid behind a baseball cap and sunglasses but walked barefoot, perched delicately on the ground to watch the action happen without his wife, 44, or children Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 4.
At the event, Artemio won an award for having the best polo pony, even though his team was defeated on the field.
The Duke of Sussex and Argentine polo player Figueras have been friends since 2007.
The pair played polo alongside each other in various matches over the years, with Figueras becoming one of Sussex’s most vocal supporters.
The model, dubbed the ‘David Beckham of Polo’, witnessed the early days of Harry and Meghan’s love and later was a guest at their wedding.

Harry and Figueras have been friends since 2007
In September 2019, Figueras, a father of four, appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ show and announced that he would ‘protect his friends with his life’.
The millionaire, who has an estimated net worth of $30 million, seems to talk freely about his friendship with the royal family in interviews; because he told Town and Country magazine the same year: ‘What do I like most? [Harry] it’s how real he is and how serious he is about improving the lives of children who don’t have the blessings we have.’
He also described Meghan as ‘incredible’ in the Sussexes’ Netflix documentary and praised the former actress for ‘giving up everything for the man she loves’.
During the Harry and Meghan docuseries, Figueras also revealed how Harry trusted him and his wife Delfina Blaquier after sharing his first date with the Duchess in 2016.
Figueras said: ‘He looked at us and said ‘guys, I met a girl, we just met but I think this could be the girl.’
‘It was immediately clear that these eyes belonged to someone who had fallen in love.’
Figueras was among the first to meet Meghan and Harry’s son Archie in Windsor in 2019, and it seems the special occasion also left its mark on the polo player, who launched a fragrance named after the English town.
In December 2019, she launched a perfume named after Harry’s hometown, while hinting at a “brotherhood of kindred spirits” with the Duke.

She has launched six different perfume lines inspired by her travels around the world; Among these was a perfume called ‘Windsor’, which she said she hoped would ‘bring all kinds of heavenly feelings’.
Commenting on the launch, the Argentinian wrote on Instagram: ‘The places that inspired this collection evoke emotional memories of the time we spent there with my wife Delfina and our children.’
A portion of the sales proceeds from the perfumes were donated to Prince Harry’s charity, Sentebale.
Fatherhood is another topic that is believed to bond with the Duke of Sussex.
Shortly after the birth of Harry’s son Archie, Figueras praised the royal as ‘wonderful’ parents and said he was ‘very, very happy’ with fatherhood.
He said: ‘He looks really happy so I’m so happy and excited for him. I have been saying this for a long time, he is a person who loves children very much.
‘I’ve seen him interact with kids for a long time in all these things we did in Africa, so I’m not surprised he’s a great dad.’
