Monaco Grand Prix result: Kimi Antonelli wins chaotic race from Lewis Hamilton

Soon a soporific race turned into a surreal one.
First, Stroll crashed his Aston Martin at the final corner, prompting the first safety car.
While the vehicles were preparing to hit the road again, Leclerc crashed in the same place and in the same way before the race started again.
This led to a red flag as officials looked at the track surface at the final corner for a collapse known as Antony Noghes.
This meant another restart, which Antonelli had to negotiate, this time with the fast-starting Ferrari.
But he was perfect again and the race was handed to him.
Hadjar drove an excellent race, battling power unit problems, and his masterstroke to avoid stopping under Red Bull’s first safety car earned him position over Russell and Piastri.
Racing Bulls had a good day as Arvid Lindblad got the best result of his rookie season with sixth place behind teammate Liam Lawson.
Gasly qualified seventh ahead of Williams’ Alex Albon and the Haas of Esteban Ocon.
And Sergio Perez qualified 10th, which could have been the first points for the new Cadillac team, but he faced investigation for taking the wrong position on the restart after the red flag.
If he is penalized, the last point will be the first point of the season for Aston Martin, where Fernando Alonso finished 11th.
And there may be questions about why so many drivers – more than a quarter of the grid – are speeding in the pit lane.
