Prince William’s true thoughts about Peter Phillips’ wedding revealed | Royal | News

The former couple, who officially divorced in 2021, married at St George’s Chapel in Windsor in May 2008. This later became the wedding venue of both Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie. Although many of his royal relatives were in attendance, William did not attend Peter and Autumn’s wedding.
The reason William didn’t come was because he attended a friend’s wedding in Africa instead.
William’s absence was explained at the time by a senior royal source saying: “Prince William will be out of the country this weekend due to a long-standing preliminary engagement.”
As Catherine and William prepare to celebrate Peter and Harriet’s special day tomorrow, William is reportedly keen to make amends with his cousin over his previous absence.
Although William did not attend Peter’s first wedding, Catherine attended on her own.
Peter managed to infuriate his late grandmother and other members of his family by signing a staggering £500k deal for photos of her reception.
The scandal reportedly led to the late Queen banning senior members of the Royal Family from appearing in photo engagements for celebrity magazines.
HELLO! Agreement made with! magazine saw the publication of a 100-page special featuring 59 pages of photographs from the wedding. The late Queen appeared in 10 of the photographs.
