Princess Kate likes a bit of ‘spice’ as she reveals William’s soft spot | Royal | News

Dressed in cream colours, the future Queen visited the Shreeji Dham Haveli Hindu Temple in the city and award-winning choreographer Aakash Odedra’s dance company. She had previously walked part of the Golden Mile in Leicester, one of the UK’s largest concentrations of Indian jewellery, saris and fashion boutiques, and revealed her tolerance for hot spices.
Dharmesh and Enna Lakhani, the married couple who run Bobby’s, the Indian restaurant that has been a staple on the famous street for 50 years, said Catherine enjoyed the sweet and salty snacks she tried.
Mr Lakhani said: “We didn’t want to let him go, we wanted to kind of hold on to him – we even told him that, saying ‘we’d keep you here all day but we can’t’.”
“As soon as we walked in he was so warm, so kind, so friendly,” Ms Lakhani said.
While trying the pickle made with green peppers, the princess told the couple: “I don’t like spice.”

She also revealed that her husband, the Prince of Wales, loves chocolate.
While sipping her tea and trying delicious snacks and desserts, the Princess said to the restaurant owners: “Congratulations, it’s surprising that your business is still successful.”
He noted that in a “fast-paced” world, it is “increasingly difficult to sit down and have a meal as a family.”
Elsewhere, Catherine revealed how much she likes to drink her tea with milk and no sugar.
