Putin sends chilling WW3 threat with ‘Flying Chernobyl’ nuke – ‘Unstoppable’ | World | News

Vladimir Putin issued a stern warning to the UK after it was confirmed that Russia had tested a new nuclear missile with unlimited range. The Russian leader called the weapon “invincible” and added that “no one else in the world” had it.
The 9M730 Burevestnik (Storm Petrel), a nuclear-capable missile designated SSC-X-9 Skyfall by NATO, was tested on Tuesday, October 21. Valery Gerasimov, chief of staff of Russia’s armed forces, confirmed that the plane traveled 8,700 miles and remained in the air for about 15 hours. The missile is reportedly “invincible” from a defensive standpoint and has an almost unlimited range and unpredictable flight path. Putin said: “This is a unique item that no one else in the world has.”
The Skyfall missile was previously described as a “flying Chernobyl” by senior State Department official Thomas Countryman. He said the “uniquely stupid weapon system” posed “a greater threat to Russia than to any other country” due to its lethal radioactive signature.
As reported by Sky NewsPutin oversaw a terrifying demonstration of Russia’s nuclear arsenal on Wednesday, October 22. This included missile tests and major military exercises at a time when tensions between Moscow and Washington continued to rise.
The demonstration took place a day after Putin’s planned meeting with US President Donald Trump was abruptly cancelled. Although the Russian President claimed that the exercises were planned in advance, their timing aroused suspicion and was seen as an attempt to intimidate NATO members.
“The so-called modernity of our nuclear deterrent forces is at the highest level,” Putin said. This was followed by a Russian drone attack in Kiev overnight on Sunday, which killed three people and injured 31 people, including six children.
It was reported that 101 drones were used in the attack that caused a fire in two residences in the Desnianskyi region of Russia. The Ukrainian Air Force said Kiev and the surrounding area was under air attack warning for 60 to 90 minutes, and 90 unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down.
According to leaked Kremlin documents, it was also reported that Russia ordered 56 Kalibr missiles with nuclear warheads. These are one of many lethal weapons used by the Russian military to bomb and terrorize Ukraine.
The rockets are deployed on multiple Russian Navy platforms and are capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear payloads of up to 500 kilograms. The missile has an inertial satellite guidance system and can fly at low altitudes, making detection difficult by air defense systems.
