Putin to face ‘very severe consequences’ if he does not agree Ukraine ceasefire, says Trump | Ukraine

In a statement on Wednesday, Vladimir Putin said that if he did not accept a ceasefire at his summit with Donald Trump in Alaska during the war in Ukraine, he would face “very violent results”.

Speaking after a call with other European leaders, including Vlodymyr Zelesnkyy and England’s Keir Starmer, Britain, Trump claimed that if his meeting with Putin went well, he would push it to a second summit if he went well – this time the Ukrainian counterpart.

“If the first goes well, it will be a second second,” he said to journalists in Washington. “I want to do it almost and if they want to keep me there, we will have a quick second meeting between President Putin and President Zelenskiy and me.”

Trump did not give a time zone for a second meeting. On Friday, Alaska will meet Putin in Anchorage.

After the Putin Alaska meeting, he was asked whether Russia would encounter results if he did not agree to stop the war, Trump said: “Yes,… They will give very violent results.”

The President’s words came after doing what he described as a very good call with European leaders he consulted about the target and strategy for the summit. He pleased the leadership of Europe by giving assurance that a ceasefire was his priority and that he would not make any regional concessions without Kyiv’s full participation.

Trump’s approach at the video conference by France’s France at the video conference, as explained by Emmanuel Macron, was seen to assure the unpredictable US president in the talks in Alaska to some leaders who were obliged to protect the sovereignty and European security of Ukraine.

European leaders Trump and Vice President JD Vance and Trump’s negotiation strategy to shape a hurry -hour meeting. Zelenskyy and European leaders were excluded from the Alaska Summit, and the election campaign is afraid that Trump will make concessions to endanger Ukraine’s future sovereignty, intention to guarantee that he could easily end bloodshed in Ukraine.

However, Trump upset his promise that the summit was not an important negotiation on his own, but that Putin described as “I feel” to test the conditions of signing a temporary ceasefire that would lead to a meeting with Ukrainians. Trump said he had a very good call and added that he gave 10 points out of 10 points.

The European intervention included a group of European leaders and Zelenskyy discussing the US negotiation strategy with Trump and Vance.

Later, the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz made it clear that Europe wanted Trump to be successful in Alaska, but the US president should be protected at the summit of Ukraine and European interests.
Merz, a press conference in Berlin, speaking with Zelenskyy, Merz, the right chronology 30 -day ceasefire and later important meetings, he said. Putin resisted the ceasefire for months.

The determination of the basic principles of Europe said: “The principle that the borders cannot be changed should be implemented.
“Negotiations should include strong security guarantees for Kiev.

“Negotiations should be part of a common transatlantic strategy. Then it may be the highest probability of success. This strategy should continue to rely on strong support to Ukraine and the necessary pressure against Russia.

The authority added that Ukrainian territory could not be Russian legal ownership.
“President Trump knows this position, he shares a very comprehensive way, and therefore I can say: We had a really constructive and good speech with each other.”

Macron said that there was no serious discussion about Russian-Ukraine soil swaps containing the cedom of Ukraine territory, and that Trump still underlined that such discussions could only be negotiated with Kiev. He said Trump would fight for a tripartite meeting between Ukraine, the United States and Russia, and such a meeting would be held in Europe.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that the ball was in the Russian court that he wanted a ceasefire now and that the transatlantic alliance was united.

A European diplomat said: “In general, the meeting was reassuring that our scores were encountered, but the question continues whether Trump will depend on the scenarios that is agreed when he enters the room with Putin.”

Trump, Germany, England, France, Italy, Poland and Finland, as well as European Commission President Ursula von Der Leyen’den met with heads of state and government leaders. Later, European leaders would report to the so -called coalition of the Western Country Group, which was registered to provide practical military guarantees to protect Ukraine sovereignty in the event of a peace settlement. The warranty problem was brought to the agenda in the call with Trump, but did not offer practical support to the coalition in the US.

However, the main purpose of the Europeans was to assure the undecided Trump, the unstable Trump, to assure Ukraine to guarantee land concessions as the cost of securing Putin’s detained agreement. They also tried to remove guarantees that Trump was ready to deploy economic leverages that were not yet used in Putin’s assessment of Putin’s bargaining power.

With the important Russian military advances from the battlefield, Zelenskyy went to Berlin to be with Merz during the meeting – both a solidarity show and a means of reducing the risk of a queue between Zelenskyy and Trump.

European leaders paid attention to the public to meet the summit of Trump, but in special fear, Trump leaned to improve US-Russia relations, and see the loss of Ukrainian sovereignty as a necessary and inevitable price to secure this goal.

Prior to the meeting, Trump complimented European leaders as “big people who wanted to make an agreement ,, but it was unclear about his strategy, including the conditions to accept Putin for a cease -fire that was a prerequisite for negotiations. Vers, who is better informed of his president, thinks that Europe should show more leadership by admitting that painful privileges are necessary to end a war of Europe.

Zelenskyy announced that the general personnel rate between Ukraine and Russia has stopped one to a third in favor of Russia, and that the artillery was one to 2.4.

Problems in the game are regional concessions, military guarantees to ensure that Russia does not restart the war, and the future relationship of Ukraine with Western institutions, including NATO.

Zelenskyy promised that the Ukrainian army will not voluntarily surrender the territory in Donetsk and Luhansk, but Russia insists that at least four Ukrainian regions will be Russian at the negotiation table or by force.

In his meeting with Putin, Trump ventilated his anger in his media report and wrote on the real Social: “The media is really unfair about my meeting with Putin. Although the fiery loser and really stupid people like John Bolton were in the US territory, ‘Putin has already won’.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessan said that if the Alaska meeting does not go well, more sanctions or secondary tariffs can be given to Russia’s trade partners.

A confident Moscow rejected the importance of Europe’s consultation with Trump. Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexei Fadeyev said: uz We see the consultations requested by the Europeans as politically and practically insignificant actions. Orally, Europeans support the diplomatic efforts of Ukraine and Moscow to solve the Ukrainian crisis, but in fact the European Union sabotes them. ”

Russia said that the Alaska meeting will discuss not only Ukraine, but also the full range of Russian-American bilateral relations. “We hope that this meeting will allow leaders to focus on all problems from the crisis in Ukraine to the obstacles that prevent normal and constructive dialogue, which is very important for international peace and stability,” he said.

Experienced Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will take part in Alaska talks.

Before the meeting, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán tried to pour salt into Europe’s wounds, saying that Russia won the war. “We talk like a war without end, but it is not. Ukrainians lost the war. Russia won this war,” he said.

Orbán said that the only problem will “when and under what conditions the West, which supports Ukrainians, and will accept what the results will be”.

Orbán is the only EU leader who does not support a common statement that Ukraine should decide for his own future.
