Donald Trump Andrew Mountbatten spoke for the first time about Windsor’s arrest. Addressing reporters on Air Force One on Thursday evening, the US President said: “I think it’s very sad. I think it’s very bad for the Royal Family.”

“It’s very, very sad. To me, it’s a very sad thing.” Mr. Trump continued to praise King Charles as a “wonderful” person who “will be coming to our country very soon.” Mr Trump’s comment came hours after the former Duke of York was arrested on Thursday morning on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

The former prince and brother of King Charles left Aylsham police station in Norfolk on Thursday evening and was photographed hunched over in the back of a vehicle.
