Quess Corp elevates Lohit Bhatia as CEO from January 2026

MUMBAI: India’s largest staffing firm Quess Corp has appointed Lohit Bhatia as executive chairman and CEO, replacing Guruprasad Srinivasan.

“The Board of Directors of Quess Corp Ltd. has elevated Lohit Bhatia from head of India and Global Operations to chief executive officer (CEO) and key management personnel (KMP) with effect from January 1, 2026,” the company said in a regulatory filing on Friday.

The company said the transition underscores a focus on clearer accountability between strategic and operational leadership, tighter alignment with board and stakeholder expectations, margin expansion and stronger governance. Bhatia will work closely with Srinivasan to advance Quess Corp’s strategic vision to become a global leader in staffing solutions.

Bhatia, who joined Quess in 2011, has experience in textiles, auto components and services sectors and currently serves as the president of the Personnel Federation of India.

“Lohit has been the linchpin of QuessCorp’s growth over the last 15 years, growing our scale to over 4.8 lakh employees and shaping our leadership position in India’s staffing sector. His experience in domestic and global operations, along with his contributions as the three-term chairman of the Staffing Federation of India, reflects his credentials as a seasoned industry leader,” Srinivasan said in a statement.

The announcement comes a day after a top-level shakeup at rival staffing firm TeamLease Services Ltd. The company on Thursday appointed Suparna Mitra as managing director and CEO, replacing Ashok Reddy with effect from February 2. Mitra is the CEO of Titan Co., where he serves as the CEO of the watches and wearables division. Joining from Ltd.

TeamLease also said vice-chairman Manish Sabharwal will step down from executive responsibilities but continue as a non-executive, non-independent director, while Narayan Ramachandran will remain as chairman.
