Rajasthan fully prepared to take advantage of budgetary incentives: CM

Rajasthan is fully prepared to benefit from new budget provisions and incentives as the Union Budget 2026-27 places the state in the mainstream of national development, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said in Jaipur on Monday (February 2, 2026). Mr. Sharma said the budget focused on fiscal discipline and stability.

“The Union Budget will give new impetus to the all-round development of Rajasthan and support our resolve to achieve development goals… It is a road map for a developed India,” Mr. Sharma said at a “press briefing” at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Mr. Sharma said the Budget will expand job opportunities and self-employment in the state as it lays emphasis on promoting startups and strengthening the service sector. He said that while the animation, visual effects, games, comics and extended reality (AVGC-XR) policy has been adopted in the state, the establishment of content creative laboratories in schools will benefit young people.

The Prime Minister said budget provisions for improving agricultural infrastructure, market access and risk reduction for farmers, as well as creating new avenues for small and large industries, manufacturers, artisans and workers will help these sectors in Rajasthan.

Mr. Sharma said industry leaders in the state will leverage the new budget plans to promote manufacturing in sectors such as bio-pharmaceuticals, chemicals, textiles, handicrafts and heavy construction and infrastructure machinery.

Touching on the renewable energy sector, Mr. Sharma said that the solar energy potential and needs of Rajasthan have been adequately addressed in the Budget, which has allocated Rs 32,914 billion for renewable energy, an increase of 30%, and Rs 22,000 billion for the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.
