Rampant traffic rule violations put commuters at risk

Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) and the police during the pre -Monsoon control driving by the police, the road safety guidelines, including private bus drivers in Kozhikode city, including a part of the drivers were thrown into the wind. Violations of speed limit and dangerous overtaking remain common and take passengers at risk.
MVD Executive Team members, recently for various security rule violations of approximately 40 private buses in the city, said they took action against the operators. “The control driving is still in full swing to define and move against faulty drivers,” they added.
MVD sources said that previous instructions have not yet been taken seriously by some bus operators to replace worn tires with unsafe steps. He warned that this negligence could lead to Aquaplanning and may be dangerous because it could cause loss of control on wet roads.
“Only last month, we were subjected to a violation of 4,315 security rules covering all kinds of vehicles. He added that this is outside more than 27,000 similar violations determined through surveillance cameras.
According to MVD teams deployed for daily controls, the abuse of mobile phones during driving and three -wheeled driving by two -wheel riders is also increasing among young people. Last month, 12,188 rider was sentenced to finish for not wearing a helmet, while 617 triple driving samples were reported from various places.
Meanwhile, some of the private bus operators in the Kozhikode-Kannur route claimed that the increasing number of accidents was largely caused by the bad situation of the pit service routes. In addition, while the police and the MVD claimed that such serious concerns are “ignorant ,, they imposed heavy fines to drivers for“ unintentional ”violations.
