Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal Set To Hit Japanese Theatres In February 2026

Ranbir Kapoor’s blockbuster Animal will hit Japanese theaters on February 13, 2026, two years after its initial release. The film was recorded as one of the highest-grossing films at the box office with a massive collection of Rs 1,000 crore worldwide. 915 Crore.
Production house Bhadrakali films took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to announce its theatrical release across Japan. Accompanied by a poster customized for Japanese audiences, the slogan reads “Kono otoko wa Darenimo Tomerarenai,” meaning “This man is unstoppable.” The tweet also described the film as “The most talked about, discussed and unforgettable cinema experience is coming to Japan. Animals is released in Japanese theaters on February 13, 2026,” mentioning the film’s long-awaited comeback.
The announcement featured the film’s intense, obsessive hero, Ranbir Kapoor, aka Ranvijay Singh. Theatrical releases in Japan are handled by Geek Pictures, a company that frequently collaborates with Indian films to bring them to local audiences. Japanese audiences were entertained with blockbuster movies like Baahubali 1 & 2, KGF Chapter 2 and RRR.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal stars Ranbir Kapoor as well as Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in lead roles. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is scheduled to release in Japanese cinemas in January 2026, so there may be a conflict of preferences among the audience.
