RBA holds rates unexpectedly as it waits for more inflation data

The Central Bank of Australia kept its policy rate by 3.85%and said it needs more time to evaluate inflation data.
Economists who participated in the survey by Reuters were waiting to get 25 basis points up to 3.6%.
On Tuesday, the Australian reserve bank said that “inflation will reach 2.5 percent on a sustainable basis,” he said.
The Central Bank said, “The last month of Months, although the Damascus indicator data would be widely compatible according to estimates, it was a little stronger than expected in the margin.”

Immediately after the data version, the S&P/ASX 200 index decreased by 0.24%, while the Australian dollar strengthened 0.79%.
Australia is currently struggling with the slowdown of growth as public expenditures decrease and consumer demand and exports weaken.
The country has enlarged 1.3% in the first quarter of the year, and Reuters survey expectations are 1.5%.
