Professional wrestling star Trevor Lee has signed a deal with Major League Wrestling (MLW) and will continue to perform for the company as the Southern Crown champion.
Lee, who wrestled in WWE as Cameron Grimes, returned to MLW to make occasional appearances after his release. He faced Mistico at MLW Eric Bischoff’s One Shot event, appeared at Battle Riot VIII in January, and made several Fusion tapings.

Andrew Everett won the MLW Southern Crown Championship in a Bunkhouse Stampede match against Beastman, Diego Hill, Festus, Ikuro Kwon, Jesus Rodriguez, Josh Bishop, Matthew Justice and Paul Walter Hauser.
“I’m really excited to be able to do anything,” Lee told Fox News Digital. “You know, I’ve been waiting for a good opportunity for the last couple of years and I feel like MLW is providing that opportunity. I really liked the ability to work with CMLL (Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre) and the ability to work with New Japan.
“So it’s really cool to see what comes out of this.”
Lee is among the former WWE wrestlers who have joined MLW in the last few years. Matt Riddle, Killer Kross, Scarlett Bordeaux, Shotzi Blackheart, Donovan Dijak, Bishop Dyer, Austin Aries, Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson, Priscilla Kelly and many more have competed in WWE at one point or another.

It also helps that MLW founder Court Bauer also has a WWE background.
“I think what really convinced me to work with MLW is that they have great production,” Lee said. “When you watch the product, it looks good. The crowd is big, the crowd is loud. That’s all you really want, especially when you step down.
“MLW isn’t WWE, but they’re not an independent company either. They’re right there. So, it’s nice to be able to be in a place that can represent you well, make you look good, and also give you a good group of talent with a lot of different companies that can come from there.”
Lee, 32, said he wants to continue to show the professional wrestling world that he can still perform at a high level.

“I want to be able to show that I’m more than just a comedy promotional act. I can have these elite level matches and that’s my goal in MLW, to see how far we can go,” he said.
