Dramatic footage captures moment police helicopter circles Sydney suburb in search for wanted man

Dramatic footage has captured the moment a police helicopter was deployed in a Sydney suburb as officers searched for a man on the run for alleged DV offences.
Police were called to Nyan St in Chifley, south-east Sydney, at around 11.30pm on Thursday night to reports of domestic violence between a man and woman.

NSW Police confirmed to NewsWire that the 48-year-old man could not be located by eight officers who attended the scene.
Later, a police helicopter was dispatched to search operations.
“Police went to arrest a man wanted for domestic violence offenses but he could not be found,” a NSW Police spokesman said.
“Polair provided field assistance to police.”
Vision shows the helicopter hovering around Chifley and Little Bay with a long-range high-beam spotlight for more than 30 minutes.
NSW Police said the search for the man continues.
