Jennifer Siebel Newsom, wife of California Governor Gavin Newsom, She is gaining attention online with resurfaced revelations that she gives dolls to boys to play with and even turns male characters in books into female characters.
“I gave our kids dolls even if their heads were cut off,” Newsom said in an undated interview that resurfaced on X. “I gave them dolls to help them learn that caring and caring is not only a women’s activity, but also an activity that is the responsibility of men.”
He also said that when he read books to his sons, he turned male characters into women.

“What I do with both my daughters and my sons is if I’m reading a book and the protagonist is a man, I change the male character to a female,” Newsom said. “And it becomes normal, especially for my sons, even… I don’t even just do this for my daughters. I do this for my sons because I want them to see that women can be the center of a story, that women are important, that women are interesting.”
Newsom also talked about restructuring gender roles.
“At the end of the day, we’re all at this place in history where maybe we’re understanding what it means to break down all these gender roles and ultimately be human, and that’s exciting to me,” Newsom said.
“So, you know, I’m going to continue to do my job and ultimately try to break down all these limiting narratives of what it means to be human.”

“What do we need to do to combat the straitjacket of gender stereotypes we put our children in?” Newsom asked. “We must encourage our boys to play with dolls and stuffed animals, to feed them, and to learn that caregiving, nurturing, love, and empathy are not merely feminine pursuits.
“We need to encourage girls to not just play with dolls and dress up, but also build things, play with Legos and trucks, be physical and get out there and kick the ball.”
Newsom also attracted attention with a recent resurgence of the incident. 2022 interview He told Elex Michaelson, a journalist at a local Los Angeles station, that evangelicals are “holding us back as a country.”
