RNC offers election lawyers and observers to DNC over Platner exit

As Democrats scramble to replace disgraced Senate primary candidate Graham Platner, the Republican National Committee is trolling the Democratic National Committee and the Maine Democratic Party with offers to provide election lawyers, trained observers and other resources.
“So, in a spirit of generosity that we hope will not go unnoticed, the RNC is officially offering our election integrity resources and staff to ensure a process worthy of the trust of Democratic voters,” a copy of the letter exclusively obtained by Fox News Digital reads. “Mainers deserve a nomination that is fair, accessible, and not disenfranchised, and it never hurts to have professionals in the room.”
The mocking letter was expected to be sent Monday morning from the RNC to DNC chairman Ken Martin and Maine Democratic Party Chairman Charles Dingman, the RNC election integrity unit told Fox News Digital.

The letter dismantles many of the Democratic Party platform’s attacks on Republicans in a week that featured an unusual Democratic Party debate and President Donald Trump’s first speech at the White House on election integrity.
“The RNC has a deep staff of experienced election attorneys, trained observers, a dedicated State Director of Election Integrity, and election integrity resources across the country, all standing by to assist with convention procedures, delegate credentials, ballot count transparency, and election law compliance,” the letter said, pointing to the multi-million dollar midterm election integrity base game. “We set up this operation to protect the elections from exactly this kind of chaos. We never expected such loud cries for help to come from your home.
“As our friends on the left never tire of reminding us, ‘democracy dies in darkness.’ We offer to turn on the lights.”

Republicans have faced criticism for questioning election integrity, but the RNC’s letter sought to turn the tables on Democrats during a key Senate race in Maine that could help determine the Senate majority this November.
“We demand clarification on whether your nominating convention includes the basic safeguards every election deserves: voter identification, proof of residence, and independent monitoring,” the letter said, clearly pointing out hypocrisy. “We ask in a spirit of rigor, not suspicion. Mostly rigor.”
“We also understand that proxy voting will not be permitted,” the letter said. “I’m pleased to hear that your party is finally exploring the benefits of voting in person, and that when the stakes are highest for Democrats, you too believe there’s no substitute for coming out and voting in person.”
When Platner suspended his Senate campaign before the July deadline after winning the nomination in June, he called out the party’s “establishment” for imposing its will on the will of the voters.

“Mr. Platner, for his part, announced the suspension of his campaign, insisting that his replacement come from ‘the people of Maine’ through a system that is ‘open, transparent and democratic’ and reflects the voices of those who support him,” the RNC letter said. The RNC letter included a review of the DNC’s reported financial struggles, suggesting they should accept offers of assistance from their political rivals.
“We also know that this convention comes at a difficult time for you financially, with the DNC $18 million in debt. It must be difficult to find the resources necessary to run a nominating convention.”
