“I’m glad he’s dead,” President Donald Trump gushed moments after it was announced that former FBI director Robert Mueller had died at the age of 81.

‘It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Bob passed away last night. “His family requests that their privacy be respected,” they said.

No further information regarding his death has been released.

On Saturday, President Donald Trump celebrated the news of Mueller’s death, writing on Truth Social: ‘Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can’t hurt innocent people anymore!’

Trump stated that he disliked Mueller because he was responsible for the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, which the president won.

Trump called the investigation a “witch hunt” and frequently attacked Mueller. The former FBI director investigated for two years and concluded that Russia interfered in the election to benefit Trump.

Mueller’s team did not indict Trump for collusion, but said it could not exonerate Trump.

His death came after his family told The Times in September that the former government worker had Parkinson’s Disease.

The statement came after the House Oversight Committee asked Mueller to appear before it to testify about the government’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.

His family told The Times he wasn’t well enough to do it.

The statement made at the time said: ‘Bob was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in the summer of 2021. He retired from law practice at the end of that year.

‘He taught at his alma mater’s law school in both the fall of 2021 and 2022 and retired at the end of 2022. His family requests that his privacy be respected.’

Mueller was living in a memory care facility.

Mueller served as the sixth director of the FBI from 2001 to 2013.

Last year, Mueller was scheduled to meet with House Oversight Committee investigators about the FBI’s work on Jeffrey Epstein.

The committee was seeking information Mueller might have known about Epstein during his FBI oversight of the pedophile’s 2005 Florida prostitution case; The FBI eventually intervened in this incident.
