Donald Trump launched a frenzied attack following the death of Robert Mueller, who led the investigation into his ties to Russia. Immediately after the death of Mueller, 81, was announced, Trump posted on Truth Social: “Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead.”

He went on to imply that Mueller’s death meant he could no longer “harm innocent people.” Trump has consistently claimed that Mueller’s report completely vindicated him, but this has not been substantiated. Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election and his campaign’s connections to figures in Moscow revealed widespread criminal activity. reports the Mirror.

This resulted in 37 indictments, seven guilty pleas or convictions, and evidence that Trump obstructed justice on multiple occasions. It found evidence that Russia conducted extensive attacks on the US election system in 2016 and discovered “numerous connections between the Russian government and the Trump campaign.”

In the report, Mueller, who served as special counsel, made clear that his report “does not exonerate” the President, but acknowledged that the Justice Department’s policy is that a sitting president cannot be indicted.

But Trump declared victory before most Americans could read the 500-page report or even comprehend its summary. He tweeted that the report found “no collusion, no obstruction” and was a “Complete and Complete Exoneration.”

This was a lie, of course. But he stuck with it for so long and repeated it so often that it replaced the truth in many people’s minds.

To this day he talks about “Russia, Russia, the Russia Hoax” as if it were a settled issue, but it is absolutely not. The report found that Trump repeatedly violated the law in ways that would lead to the imprisonment of any other person.

In the statement announcing that Mueller passed away at the age of 81, “We share the news of Bob’s death with deep sadness. His family requests that their privacy be respected.”

Mueller and his team spent almost two years secretly conducting one of the most important investigations in the history of the Justice Department.

He held no press conferences and made no public appearances during the investigation; Despite attacks from Trump and his supporters, he remained silent and created an air of mystery around his work.

In total, Mueller filed criminal charges against six of the president’s aides, including his campaign chairman and first national security adviser.
