Jimmy Kimmel says he’d ‘love’ to have Trump on his late-night show

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel announced Wednesday that President Donald Trump will appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” He said he “very much wanted” to be on the show. returned after the late-night show was suspended.
Bloomberg reporter Lucas Shaw asked Kimmel: “Bloomberg Screen Time” The question is whether he invited Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr or Trump to his show after returning from suspension.
Kimmel said he wasn’t interested in casting Carr. Carr had threatened action against Kimmel after the late-night host made remarks about the person who allegedly shot Charlie Kirk.
“Of course, I would love to have Trump on the show,” Kimmel added. “Okay, I’ll ask him.”

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Kimmel’s show was briefly halted following comments he made about the suspect in Kirk’s shooting. “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA mob trying desperately to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as someone other than one of them and doing everything they could to score political points off of it,” the late-night host said.
During his conversation with Shaw, Kimmel said his comments were mischaracterized as “intentional and malicious.”
Kimmel also described his conversations with Disney CEO Bob Iger and Co-Chairman of Disney Entertainment at the time. There was Dana Walden Positive.

“These are people I’ve known for a long time and love very much, and we all wanted this to turn out in the best way possible,” the late-night host said. “First of all, I ruined Dana’s weekend. It was non-stop phone calls all weekend. But if I hadn’t talked to Dana so much, I don’t think the outcome, which I thought was very positive, would have been as positive, because it helped me think things through and helped me understand where everyone was coming from. Sometimes I can be reactive, sometimes I can be pushy, and sometimes I can be disruptive.”
He said it’s helpful to use those days to reflect.
Shaw and Kimmel discussed the late-night host’s politics and whether he’s become more political over the years.
Speaking of Trump, Kimmel said: “He’s on TV all day, every day. He gives us so much to use. It didn’t used to be like this. Every now and then you’d watch a video of George Bush walking the wrong way on stage and you’d take advantage of it for a week or someone would trip or something like that. But now you see him, you hear him, he introduces himself so often; he’s more digestible and less digestible at the same time.”

Trump praised Kimmel’s suspension and was surprised that ABC allowed the show to air again.

“I can’t believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back,” Trump said. “ABC told the White House that his show was canceled! Something happened between then and now because his audience is GONE and his ‘talent’ was never there.”
