Rohit Pawar slams NCP as video shows Agriculture Minister playing game on phone in assembly

NCP (SP) Mla Rohit Pawar criticized the ruling NCP fraction on Sunday, July 20, 2025 without consulting the BJP, claiming that Maharashtra Minister Manikrao Kokate played a game in the state council.

Mr. Pawar made a statement in an article on X and shared a video of NCP leader and State Agriculture Minister Kokate playing a game on his mobile phone in the state legislative council.

NCP (SP) legislature, “the ruling NCP fraction does not function without consulting BJP, so various agriculture and various problems in the state every day in the state seems to have time to play Greek.”

NCP and Minister Kokate were not ready to comment despite repeated initiatives.

Meanwhile, the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader Vijay Wettiwar accused the Mahayuti government of being “deceptive” and “traitor” against farmers.

Speaking with reporters, Mr. Wettiwar said that farmers in the state died and the Minister of Agriculture played a game on the mobile phone.

“This deceptive and treacherous government is not interested in farmers. I address farmers to give a lesson.” He said.
