Royal fans spot one thing missing from Princess Anne’s Christmas card | Royal | News

Princess Anne skipped signing her 2025 Christmas card with her royal title and royal fans can’t believe it. Australia’s Queensland Governor published Princess Royal’s Christmas card on Instagram and shared this sweet post with his followers.

The card read: “With Best Wishes for a Happy and Peaceful Christmas and New Year, a message printed on the inside of the white card.” It was signed simply “From Anne and Tim” in handwritten pen, a reference to Princess Anne and her husband, Vice-Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence – much to the surprise of fans. The photo was taken while Anne and her husband were traveling by horse-drawn carriage while visiting Sark in the Channel Islands in May 2025. Commenting on the simplicity of the signature, one person added: “What? ‘Royal Princess?’ He didn’t sign it. Of course not, she’s too stylish for that.”

Another said: “Such a lovely card. Such a lovely photo of them both. I love that Tim’s name is on the card too. Wishing them both a Merry and Peaceful Christmas!”

One social media user commented: “The Crown Princess doesn’t need anyone to make a splashy announcement of her arrival. She just signed her name as ‘Mother’ on her 2025 Christmas card.”

Another added: “I deeply respect Anne for so many reasons, but the main reasons are her loyalty and work ethic. She is an incredible person.”

In the Instagram post shared by the Queensland Governor’s office, the front of the card showed a royal monogram in the form of a crown over the letter “A”.

Princess Anne is known for her tenacious approach to royal duty and is considered the hardest-working member of the Firm based on the number of formal commitments recorded in the Court Circular.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are another royal couple who don’t sign Christmas cards, as evidenced by the Christmas cards released last week; however, many fans criticized their card for not being a typical Christmas photo.

It featured a photograph of the King and Queen taken by royal photographer Chris Jackson at the Villa Wolkonsky in Rome in April to commemorate their 20th wedding anniversary.
