Trump’s ‘craziest ever’ press conference devolves into chaos as he floats one night evisceration of ‘entire country’

President Donald Trump was the subject of disbelief and ridicule Monday following an extraordinary White House briefing that critics claimed was more reminiscent of an SNL skit.
Trump took to the White House podium to detail the ‘breathtaking’ rescue of two US pilots shot down in Iran, demonstrating the scope and determination of American combat power.
YouTube star and comedian Jimmy Dore led the charge, calling the administration’s narrative a ‘clown show’ after Trump claimed complete military dominance despite the recent shooting down of a US warplane.
‘Making it seem like a victory that a military shot down a warplane that Trump called ‘Totally Destroyed’ is acting like a pure clown show,’ Dore wrote to X. ‘Is Iran being humiliated? Everything they say is a reflection and a confession.’
Other high-traffic financial accounts on X echoed this sentiment, with one viral post stating: ‘This was one of the craziest press conferences Trump has ever held. Absolute comedy.’
The comments come as Trump signals a frantic and optimistic push for a peace deal with what he calls the “decapitated” Iranian regime, while also authorizing the most “savage” wave of American attacks to date.
He did not say whether he would end the bombing campaign.
‘I don’t know. I don’t know. “It depends on what they do,” Trump said, further adding to the confusion.

The president warned that the entire country of Iran could be ‘ejected’ overnight, adding that it could happen as soon as Tuesday.

Trump also used the briefing to issue a dire final warning to Tehran, setting a firm deadline of 8pm on Tuesday.
“The entire country could be destroyed in one night, and that night could be tomorrow night,” Trump said. He warned that if a deal was not reached he would order the complete destruction of Iran’s civilian infrastructure and promised to leave the country in the ‘Stone Age’.
“All bridges in Iran will be destroyed by tomorrow night… every power plant will go bankrupt, burn, explode and never be used again,” Trump warned, adding that it would take ‘100 years’ for the Iranian people to rebuild without America’s help.
Army Veterinarian Clay Harmon called it ‘absolute insanity’ in X.
‘Trump just told Iran to open the strait or face bombing on Tuesday. There is no lawyer. There is no press conference. directly from the president. ‘When was the last time we had a president like this?’ harmony reacted.
The president claimed he had already ‘road tested’ this strategy and recently boasted that he had ordered the demolition of Iran’s largest bridge in just 10 minutes to ‘force compliance’ when negotiations stalled.
Trump also floated a plan for the US to take control of the Strait of Hormuz and charge global shipping ‘fees’ for passage.
‘Why shouldn’t we? We are the winners, Trump reasoned, comparing the strategy to the way his own administration manages Venezuelan oil. ‘They were defeated militarily. All they have is this psychology; We’ll throw some mines into the water.’
While Secretary of War Pete Hegseth claimed from the same podium today that U.S. attacks are reaching record-breaking volumes every day, the Pentagon’s own data show otherwise.
“According to the president’s instructions, today will be the largest strike volume since day one… Tomorrow, even more than today,” Hegseth told reporters.
However, figures from U.S. Central Command show that the pace of operations has actually fluctuated over the past three weeks, maintaining a steady average of about 250 strikes per day rather than the exponential daily increase the administration claims.
In one of the most striking moments of the briefing, Trump said Iranian civilians were actually “begging” the US to continue the bombardment.
‘We had a lot of interventions. “Please keep bombing,” Trump claimed, adding that civilians living near the explosion zones would rather suffer from the attacks than live under the current regime.

Trump used the briefing to issue a dire final warning to Tehran, setting a firm deadline of 8pm on Tuesday.
He boasted that he “sees better through night glasses than in daylight” the “precision” of US forces, and compared it to the “brutality” of regime snipers who he claimed shot female protesters “between the eyes”.
Trump did not reserve his harsh criticism only for Iran and turned his sights on ‘disappointing’ European allies. He mocked the UK’s offer of ‘two old, broken aircraft carriers’ and criticized NATO for standing on the sidelines.
“I think this is a mark on NATO that will never fade away,” Trump said, before boasting that American technology was superior enough to have stopped 101 of the 101 missiles fired recently at the USS Abraham Lincoln.
As the 8pm ET deadline approaches on Tuesday, the world is watching to see whether Trump’s ‘instincts’ will lead to a historic peace deal or the ‘annihilation’ he so vividly describes.
