Russia Revives MiG-41 Project To Counter F-35: Putin’s New Lethal Weapon Explained | World News

Moscow: Russia has concluded the design of MIG-41, a new generation preventive aiming to challenge the US F-35 Stealth Fighter Jet. The aircraft is developed to cut hidden fighters such as hypersonic missiles, F-35 and potentially satellites.

Retired Russian Air Force Commander Vladimir Popov said that on September 16, 2025, the Russian Today had completed the exterior design stage of MIG-41 and that a prototype flight was expected in the coming years. This is being built as the successor of Jet Mig-31.

Popov announced that the external configuration of Mig-41, which is part of the PAK DP program, reached the scene where it was concluded. The prototype is expected to fly over the next few years.

Designed to resist F-35 MIG-41

Mig-41’s capabilities exceed traditional measures. According to the army recognition, the aircraft can reach speeds exceeding Mach 4, approximately 4,800 kilometers per hour. By targeting hypersonic and hidden threats, it can work up to 80,000 feet in space heights.

Warrior will be available in both the pilot and unmanned versions. Advanced sensors and radar will allow long -range surveillance to be locked to more than one target at the same time. MIG-41 is expected to play an important role in Russia’s North-polar defense strategy.

Reports reveal that Russia has also designed MIG-41 for anti-active tasks. This will allow him to target the low-world orbit satellites using private air-spatial missiles. The aircraft will be armed with MPKR DP missile system, a multi -purpose platform that can place more than one sub -missile from a single missile and increase the probability of striking hypersonic and high -speed targets.

Additional features include advanced radar, laser defense systems and combined loop motor, which is an upgraded version of the IZDELİYE-30 engine of the SU-57.

Next challenges for Russia

Questions continue whether Russia can perform MIG-41 successfully. Reaching speeds over Mach 4 is a tremendous technical difficulty. Such speeds produce excessive thermal stress on a aircraft body requiring high -power electronics, developed heat resistant materials, sophisticated cooling systems and high power electronics.

Moscow has already encountered production delays with the SU-57 program, which expressed concerns about whether MIG-41 can be developed in the program.

Existing projections show that the first prototype can fly between 2026-27 years and that mass production is likely to start around 2030.

MIG-41 promises to redefine Russia’s air capabilities by combining excessive speed, high altitude access, advanced targeting systems and anti-satellite functionality. If it is deployed successfully, the US may emerge as a challenging challenge for hidden fighters and hypersonic platforms, and a significant step in Russia’s strategic defense attempts.
