Russian overnight drone attack cuts power to thousands in Odesa, Ukraine says

KYIV (Reuters) -A Russian drone attack damaged four energy facilities near the Southern Ukraine city Odesa and left more than 29,000 customers on Sunday morning.
Oleh Kiper, the Governor of Odessa Region in Telegram messaging application, said that the most challenging Hit Chornomorsk, Chornomorsk port city, where housing houses and administrative buildings are damaged.
“Critical infrastructure is working on generators, Ker Kiper said, adding that a person was injured as a result of the attack.
The Reuters could not confirm the report independently.
In recent weeks, Russia has intensified its attacks on the energy and gas infrastructure of Ukraine. Kiev hit Russian oil refineries and pipelines.
There was no comment from Russia, which constantly hit Ukraine’s critical infrastructure with Moscow’s constantly initiated by a full -scale Ukrainian invasion for 42 months of the war.
Ukraine’s biggest power producer Dtek said in a statement that four of the energy facilities were attacked overnight.
Dtek, “As soon as the energy workers get permission from military and rescue services, they will immediately examine the equipment and carry out emergency repair.” He said.
On Thursday, a comprehensive attack aimed at many parts of Ukraine in Russia killed 25 people in Kiev.
