American Sovereignty, the conservative nonprofit that funded the billboard, unveiled the ad on January 30; This coincided with a previous announcement that the company planned to launch a separate multimillion-dollar campaign promoting ICE and stronger border security.
“We salute the brave Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents who work to defend America every day with billboards and ads for #SuperBowlLX in San Francisco,” the nonprofit wrote in a post on X. he said. “Thank you @ICEgov for defending our country. #StandWithICE.”

“Defense Wins the Championship. This is also critical to a safe nation,” the nonprofit added in a post on social media.
The announcement comes after the nonprofit announced last week that it planned to launch a multimillion-dollar ad campaign over the weekend to rally support for ICE. According to the group, two pro-ICE ads will air nationally, with additional emphasis on the District of Columbia, North Carolina, Michigan and Georgia.

The Bay Area has historically opposed ICE operations. On Monday, dozens of people from community groups, immigrant rights organizations and labor unions marched in San Jose to protest the agency.
The demonstrations come amid concerns from local activists that ICE might increase its presence in and around Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara during Super Bowl week.
But the NFL confirmed Tuesday that ICE agents will not conduct immigration enforcement operations at the event.
