Same old Arsenal? Rivals cry foul over TWO big handball let-offs – and lack of a red card – in the Champions League final against PSG

Fans of Arsenal’s opponents in the first half of the Champions League final were outraged after two handball decisions and a red card decision went in favor of Arsenal.
Arsenal got off to an excellent start against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest, with Kai Havertz, selected ahead of Viktor Gyokeres, giving his team the lead when he fired from a tight angle.
However, some fans were baffled by the decision to stop the goal after the ball hit Leandro Trossard during the build-up.
The goal came when PSG captain Marquinhos tried to clear the ball but shot it straight at Trossard. The ball bounced forward and into the path of Havertz, who ran towards goal and fired.
However, replays showed the ball flying off Trossard’s arm, but the goal was still allowed to stand.
Fans of Arsenal’s rivals were left furious after two handball interruptions in the Champions League final, including the Bukayo Saka incident.
There were also questions as to why Kai Havertz’s goal was allowed to stand after the ball hit Leandro Tossard’s hand in the build-up.
One fan wrote on X: ‘The Havertz goal should have been ruled out for handball by Trossard. ‘We are witnessing corruption in real time.’
Another posted: ‘Goal: Havertz. Assist: Both arms of Trossard. What a joke.”
A third posted: ‘Isn’t that Trossard’s handball assist?’
A second incident occurred a few minutes later when Bukayo Saka tried to clear a bouncing ball in his own penalty area.
When the ball fell, England’s star Saka tried to volley the ball away, but the ball jumped into the air and hit his hand, and he kicked the ball into the air. Some PSG players appealed, but the decision was still not made.
Fans once again took to social media to make their feelings known.
‘I don’t know what the rules are in football from game to game anymore,’ one wrote. However, this season in the Champions League it was called a handball penalty for consistency.
‘Bukayo Saka is very lucky.’
Fans think Cristhian Camira was lucky not to receive a second yellow card
Other criticisms were as follows: ‘It’s not even a question, he hits him TWICE’, ‘He hit both arms, how could he not’ and ‘They will say it is his natural position, VAR is silent.’
It turned out that Arsenal benefited the most from referee mistakes in the Premier League this season, and that Arsenal had to concede three penalties and receive three red cards.
A total of 7 referee errors were in their favor.
Asked at half-time on TNT Sports, Martin Keown said: ‘No. I think the referee has a great perspective. We have seen fewer penalties awarded than this in the Champions League this season, but this is not in the spirit of the game. He just throws his arm towards her.’
Steven Gerrard added: ‘I don’t think it’s a pen, even if it’s biased from Liverpool’s point of view.’
PSG won a penalty in the second half after Cristhian Camira tripped Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the penalty area. Ousmane Dembele scored from the penalty spot but fans were left baffled as to why Camira was not shown a second yellow card.
One fan wrote to X: ‘This should be the second yellow card for Camira.’ ‘Arsenal are getting away with all sorts of things today.’
Another shared: ‘Hahaha he should be with 10 people but of course Camira gets off with an obvious 2nd yellow card.’
However, the rules state that Camira cannot receive a yellow card; A foul is considered as stopping a promising attack and challenge for the ball, resulting in a yellow card and penalty.
Immediately after the goal, Camira entered the game instead of Jurrien Timber.
