Sarah Ferguson has been involved in many scandals since joining the Royal Family. The former Duchess of York lost her title and home due to her and her ex-husband’s links to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. But the royal expert said discussions about the former duchess began years ago.
The author of the explosive biography ‘Tiled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York’ spoke on the Sky News podcast of the “series” of problems Sarah Ferguson has “created” for the Royal Family. Andrew Lownie highlighted three issues in particular regarding excursions, the use of staff when staying with people, and late-night meals. He explained: “He began to take advantage of his position, becoming unpopular not only with the press but also with the palace staff. He would go on trips with the charities he was involved in, but he would stay much longer than he should have. He would go and stay with people and he had staff there…”
He added: “He would return from parties late at night and expect staff to prepare dinner for him at midnight. Staff worked at six in the morning.”
at that time then-Prince Andrew was serving in the Royal Navy. The expert explained: “When he came back on the weekends he was tired and wanted to play golf or watch TV and so he [Sarah Ferguson] I wanted to party.” The author added that these were “incompatible characters”.
She added that the incident escalated further when she was caught sucking her toes by a swimming pool with her financial lover John Bryan in France in 1992; photos were published in newspapers.

The intimate photos, taken with a telephoto lens as the couple lazed by the pool, show Texas millionaire John Bryan kissing and sucking the Duchess’s toes and the arch of her foot.
Mr Lownie added: [Sarah] She wanted a life of luxury and I think she thought she would get that when she married Andrew. “When he found out that wasn’t the case, he started to like people who could make that happen.”
Andrew and Sarah divorced in May 1996, following their separation announcement in March 1992. They continued to live together at the Royal Lodge, although they remained close friends and co-parents.
