Sarah Ferguson’s sister flies over from Australia amid chaotic scandal | Royal | News

The arrival of Sarah Ferguson’s older sister to the UK comes as the former royal staffer faces mounting pressure following recent revelations about her links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. According to royal commentator Phil Dampier, Jane Ferguson Luedecke traveled from Australia to England to support her younger sister Sarah.
Mr Dampier explained: “I can tell you his older sister Jane flew from Australia recently to console him in England.” He continued to explain Women’s Day Magazine: “[Sarah] “He needed support and Jane was there for him when he needed it.”
The latest turmoil for Sarah Ferguson began with the emergence of correspondence between Sarah and late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which revealed that she had referred to the financier as a “great friend” in 2011.
The friendly email appeared to contradict her public statement in an interview a few weeks ago that her involvement with Epstein, including borrowing money, was a “massive error of judgment” and that “what he did was wrong and that’s why he was rightfully incarcerated.”
Sarah’s representatives claim that she wrote this message to Epstein because she was afraid of potential threats to her family members.
A spokesperson for Fergie said her later email to Epstein, describing her as a friend, was written in response to his threat to sue her for libel, and that she still genuinely regrets any relationship with him.
“This email was sent in the context of advice [then] “It was given to try to appease Epstein and his threats,” the Duchess said.
The response to the emergence of the email, sent several years after Epstein was jailed for sex offenses in 2008, was for a number of charities, including the Teenage Cancer Trust, to cut ties with Sarah Ferugson.
Last week, Andrew renounced his remaining royal titles and honors, including his title as Duke of York, in the wake of the latest Epstein scandal.
He will retain the title of prince, which is his birthright as the son of a monarch, and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson will no longer use the title of Duchess of York. The decision comes after her friendship with convicted pedophile sex offender Jeffrey Epstein returned to the headlines.
The announcement also included that Prince Andrew “strongly” denied the accusations against him.
