The strict rule Meghan Markle introduced at Frogmore Cottage | Royal | News

There has been an alleged strange demand for Meghan Markle’s former Windsor home, according to a new royal book. During her brief stint as a royal, Meghan lived at Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Estate with Prince Harry before quitting as senior royal and moving to America.

Queen Elizabeth II, which will be published this month to coincide with the late monarch’s 100th birthday. In his new book, Elizabeth, royal author Hugo Vickers claims Meghan will not allow cars to be parked at a nearby sports ground for a surprising reason.

Harry and Meghan initially planned to split their time between the UK and US following their bombshell decision as senior royals, but that soon changed and they have spent the last six years building new lives in California.

“The Duchess of Sussex refused to go on sports grounds because she could see the cars from nearby Frogmore Cottage,” Mr Vickers writes in his new book.

Despite moving to the US, the Sussexes kept the cottage until the publication of Harry’s damaging Spare memoirs in 2023 led to their eviction. At the time, a source close to the couple denied that they were shocked by the decision. Times: “It is. They don’t fight it. They realize they have a home.” [in California]. They have a roof over their heads. They had the privilege of having a second residence. Things aren’t going to work for them there, and that’s okay.”

The source added: “The world looks more miserable than it is on this issue” and acknowledged that “change is inevitable” as the King had always planned to have a weakened monarchy.

While the decision to evict the couple from their Windsor home was largely ignored by sources close to them, an explosive royal book claimed the Duke of Sussex had a damning question for his father.

In his book Endgame, author Omid Scobie writes that after being told to leave Frogmore Cottage, Harry asks his father, “Don’t you ever want to see your grandchildren again?” he claimed to have asked.

In the following years, Harry and Meghan have been raising their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in Montecito, California.

Although Harry has returned to the UK alone several times over the years, Meghan and her two children have not visited the UK since 2022.
