Scenes from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting

President Donald Trump and other senior US officials were evacuated from the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C., on Saturday after gunshots were heard just after the start of the dinner.
At least five gunshots were heard at the event at the Washington Hilton hotel around 8:35 p.m. ET.
Trump, who was sitting on stage next to First Lady Melania at the front of the ballroom, was quickly surrounded by US Secret Service agents, while hundreds of attendees ducked under their tables for cover.
It turned out that no one was seriously injured. The armed attacker was detained.
Here are some of the chaotic scenes that unfolded after the attack.
