Tension at EFLU over Palestine solidarity rally; case booked against students from two groups

On October 7, 2025 Tuesday evening, the tension prevailed on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 after a clash between the two student groups due to a rally organized for solidarity with Palestine on the campus of the University of English and Foreign Languages ​​in Haydarabad.

According to the authorities, on the evening of October 7, around 18.15, Vikas, Deena, Shaheen, Aardhra and Noor, including the representatives of the student organization, including a group of approximately 100 students, university officials held a rally within the campus without pre -permission.

The students shouted slogans against Palestine and shouted slogans against Israel, exhibited Palestinian flags and posters, and glued “Eflu for Palestine” on the canteen walls.

Shortly after, another group of about 30 students belonging to a different student organization led by Abhishek and Sumith objected to the posters and tried to remove the posters. Thereupon, there was a heated debate and melee with the slogans of both sides.

The situation became tense for a short time before the police came and controlled the issue. Upon the complaint of Eflu registration officer, Osmania University police filed a lawsuit against both groups. Currently, more investigations continue.
