The former Radio 2 Breakfast Show presenter was spotted dog walking with husband Sam Vaughan near their home in Hertfordshire on Wednesday.
Mills, 53, was sacked last month after it was revealed he was the target of allegations of “serious sexual offences” against a young person under the age of 16.
Police said the allegations he faced occurred between 1997 and 2000, when Mills was in his mid-20s.
Mills was questioned under caution by police in 2018 but the case was dismissed by the Crown Prosecution Service in 2019 for lack of evidence. The BBC admitted it knew about the allegations as far back as 2017.
The radio star hid behind sunglasses and a baseball cap as she strolled through her neighborhood with her husband of two years.
In an extraordinary statement made to the Daily Mail through his lawyers, Mills broke his silence by admitting that he was the subject of the investigation and did not deny the allegations.
Meanwhile, insiders said there was ‘complete shock’ at the company following Mills’ sacking and the star had not received calls from worried friends.

In an email to BBC staff last month, Music Director Lorna Clarke said: ‘I wanted to personally inform you that Scott Mills has left the Breakfast program and the BBC.
‘I know that this news will be sudden and unexpected and therefore shocking.
‘At least most of us have worked with Scott over many years on R1, 5Live, R2 and a wide range of programs on TV.
‘I felt it was important to share this news with you at the first opportunity.
‘Of course this will also come as a shock to our viewers and loyal breakfast show listeners.
‘I will let everyone know more about the show plans when possible.
‘While I appreciate that many of you will have questions, I hope you can understand that I will not say anything.’
The broadcaster said it was not clear during the investigation whether BBC executives had knowledge of the age of the child involved in the sexual offense allegations. Current administrators reportedly only became aware of it in recent weeks and took action to get rid of it.
They are now reviewing emails and HR records before speaking to staff about what they knew about the Met Police investigation and whether they knew the complainant was a child.
Mills broke his silence by releasing a statement admitting he was the subject of the investigation and not denying the allegations, before thanking his fans and former BBC colleagues.

He stressed that he ‘fully cooperated and responded’ during the police investigation. However, he did not address the allegations and did not offer a denial.
The full statement read: ‘The recent announcement that I am no longer contracted with the BBC has led to the publication of rumors and speculation. In response, the Metropolitan Police issued a statement which I confirm relates to me.
‘In 2016, an allegation was made against me in relation to a historic sexual offense which was the subject of a police investigation; I fully cooperated and responded to this allegation in 2018.
‘As stated by the police, a dossier of evidence was presented to the Crown Prosecution Service which determined that the evidentiary threshold for laying charges was not met.
‘Since the investigation is about an allegation dating back nearly 30 years and the police investigation was closed 7 years ago, I hope that the public and the media will understand and respect my request not to make any further public statements on this matter.
‘I want to thank from the bottom of my heart everyone who has kindly reached out to me, my former colleagues and my beloved listeners whom I miss so much.’
A BBC spokesman said in a statement: ‘Scott Mills had a long career at the BBC, was hugely popular, and we know this week’s news has come as a shock and surprise to many people.
“All we can confirm is that we have received new information about Scott in recent weeks and have spoken to him directly. As a result, the BBC has acted decisively in line with our culture and values to terminate their contract on Friday 27 March.”
A senior BBC broadcaster said there was ‘complete shock’ at the corporation after Mills was sacked.
The BBC was allegedly aware of a police investigation into Scott nine years ago but did not know that the boy who accused the star of sexual offenses was under 16.
The BBC admitted it was aware of the investigation into Mills in 2017 but only fired Mills after “new information” emerged
‘The BBC has made a significant commitment to improving its culture, processes and standards. Last year, following an independent culture review, we set behavioral expectations for everyone working with or for the BBC and were clear that action would be taken if these were not met.
We can also confirm that the BBC was made aware of the existence of an ongoing police investigation in 2017, which was subsequently closed in 2019 without any arrests or charges being made.
‘We are working further to understand the details of what is currently known to the BBC.’
The star has reportedly not received calls from worried friends following his sacking.
A source told the Daily Mirror that Mills has been ‘grounded’ since the decision was made and friends are ‘finding it difficult to contact him’.
‘This show was his life and he is in danger of being forgotten,’ a friend told the newspaper.
Mirror He also claimed, a few days after his dismissal, that close friends and acquaintances had been ‘completely blindsided by the events of the last few days’ and had known nothing about his exit until a police investigation in 2016 revealed it.
DJ Gary Davies has been replacing Scott on the breakfast show since his dismissal, and the broadcaster is said to be working tirelessly behind the scenes to find a long-term replacement.
Standouts include Rylan Clark and OJ Borg after the standouts Vernon Kay, Claudia Winkleman and Sara Cox ‘knock themselves out’.
OJ, whose real name is Oliver James Borg, hosts a live late-night show every weekday from midnight to 3 a.m. It is said that there is a ‘wild card’ among the bosses.
Potential landlords are also said to be wary of showing that they are too eager to avoid ‘the vultures circling’.
