Searches carried out in six Kashmir districts in terror related case

Kashmir Counter Intelligence (CIK) police unit conducted searches in various parts of the valley on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in a case related to terrorist activities, officials said.

Authorities said based on recent intelligence input, technical analysis and ongoing investigations, they identified eight locations where searches were conducted in six districts in the early hours of Wednesday.

The searches were carried out at two separate locations in Srinagar and Bandipora districts; and one each in Kupwara, Anantnag, Kulgam and Baramulla districts.

The case, registered in 2015, relates to Pakistan-sponsored terrorist groups, their sleeper cell networks and activities related to recruitment, radicalization and facilitating terrorism in JK.

Officials said the suspects were allegedly in contact with Pakistan-based terrorists through encrypted communication platforms and were suspected of being involved in the spread of extremist propaganda and radicalization activities.
