Security Meet Focus On Terror Links, Tech Misuse

New Delhi: Trade Union Interior Minister Amit Shah opened the 8th National Security Strategies Conference in the New Delhi on Friday, focusing on the role of external actors against national interests and internal connections, including the narcotic trade. The conference also discussed the difficulties of encrypted communication applications and illegal use of other developing technologies.
During the conference, according to the Ministry of Interior officials, discussions were discussed about the use of technology for crowded management, the security of the deserted islands and the terror financing.
While chairing the meeting, the Shah directed the agencies to take special measures to bring back the fugitives related to terrorism and smuggling. He stressed that there is a need to increase the coordination between institutions between the central and state law enforcement officers, and called for a re-calibrated approach to disrupting the indigenous nodes of the terror-waters.
The Ministry of Interior was also assigned to establish a multi -stakeholder forum to develop strategies to resist the use of encrypted communication platforms by terrorism networks.
While reviewing the terrorist financing mechanisms, agencies were instructed to analyze financial irregularities to detect terrorism modules. The Ministry was also directed by police institutions throughout the country to ensure that only domestic technology is adopted.
The conference was held in a hybrid format by combining both physical and virtual participation. About 800 officers from all over India joined and discussed a number of national security problems.
Union Minister of Interior, Deputy National Security Advisor (NSA) and Central Security Forces and Central Police Organizations Presidents attended the conference in Delhi.
Police General Managers (DGPs) from the states and unity regions, young police officers at the latest level of young police officers and special areas of private areas, almost participated in the conference from their own state capitals.
