Seizures in West Bengal cross ₹500-crore mark during ongoing polls

The total seizures of illegal inducements in West Bengal on Monday, April 27, 2026, exceeded ₹ 510 crore, the Election Commission said.
The captures are higher than the recoveries recorded in the last Assembly polls in 2021, which totaled ₹339 crore.
