Seth Meyers Worries for Kristi Noem After Her Firing: ‘Where Is She Going to Get the Money for All Her Wonderful Costumes?!’

Former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem He was fired on Thursdayand Seth Meyers is pretty worried about him. Not for her political future or anything, the NBC host is only concerned about her costume budget.

To kick off Thursday night’s “A Closer Look” segment, Meyers picked the four issues Trump voters likely care about most when voting for him; This includes immigration. Meyers later noted that the president “fired” on all four issues, but was so wild on immigration in particular that he fired Noem for it.

“What? Is Kristi Noem out?” Meyers was worried. “But where will he find the money for these wonderful costumes?”

The screen then showed a collage of 10 different outfits Noem had worn in public, from firefighter uniforms to cowboy hats to army fatigues and more.

“They were both just months away from starring in ‘Wicked,'” Meyers lamented.

The “Late Night” host then turned his attention to Markwayne Mullin, the Oklahoma senator who replaced Noem. Meyers was confident Mullin was more qualified, considering the “very convincing” interview he gave CNN last week about Iran’s nuclear arsenal.

When asked what kind of arsenal Iran might have, considering Trump claimed last summer that the US had “destroyed” it, Mullin claimed they were rebuilding it, just as people can “destroy bones” in car crashes and rebuild them with metal. Meyers then needed a few seconds to digest what Mullin had said.

“So, are you sure you don’t want to make him Minister of Health?” Meyers asked, stifling a laugh. “’You know, people’s bones get destroyed in car crashes, and we put metal in them and turn them into Wolverines!’”
