Friends, family share memories of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk’s Glendale drew thousands of participants and dozens of speakers who shared the murdered activist memories in Arizona.
While most of the emotions, such as those about Kirk’s influence in the conservative movement, were well known, others were more personal.
The newly shared stories shed light on Kirk’s short life of 31 years and how his closest friends, employees and family members remember him.

Love Notes
Charlie Kirk’s widow’s wife Erika Kirk has revealed a large number of personal details about their marriage.
One of them was a ritual that kept their marriage strong despite Kirk’s constant travel.
“Somebody asked me how Charlie and I was busy traveling, asking me how we kept our marriage so strong,” he said. “Our Little Secret: Love Notes. Every Saturday, Charlie wrote one for me and never missed Saturday.”
“And in each one he would tell me what he emphasized for the week, how grateful he was for me and our babies.” “And always finally finished by asking the most beautiful question … ‘Please let me know what kind of husband I can serve better.’ ‘

He also talked about his husband’s strong belief in the love of slipping into the diary and the conservative student movement.
“There was nothing very difficult or very painful or he had nothing to feel,” he said.
“Charlie died with missing jobs, but not with unfinished jobs. And I will miss her. I will miss her very much. Because our marriage and our family were very beautiful.”

White House Presidential Personnel Office Manager Sergio Gor shared how Kirk affected his life with Christian faith.
Gor said, “The political world may be full of processing people. Charlie was not one of them.” He said. “That pole was exactly the opposite.”
“One of the things I will miss the most, every morning to get a text from Charlie with a daily Bible verse. Charlie will help you set the tone of the day for many of us.”

Gor has been friends with Kirk for more than ten years, and the two took the world from Louisiana to Greenland.

Turn Point’s Senior Progress Director Stacy Sheridan shared how Kirk quietly helped her husband while died of cancer.
“Charlie called me to ask me how to help me,” Sheridan remembered. “At some point, there were critical drugs and an oxygen machine.
Sheridan also explained how he struggled with work during this time and that Kirk would comfort him.

“Sometimes I feel guilty to Charlie because I couldn’t do my job with 100%. Charlie’s answer was ‘family first’. When Mike finally passed away, Charlie and the whole team were there again for us.”
Sheridan also said how Kirk supported him after he lost his home in Pacific Palisades in 2025.
“Charlie’s response was very clear and very directly, ‘This is a sign and Grace Arizona.’ We moved in Charlie in a few months and Erica invited us to their families.

Podcasting became Kirk’s daily ritual
Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet shared how much he loved Podcasting even with Kirk’s busy program.
Kolvet, the chief producer in the show, said that he likes to share Kirk’s thoughts and hear from the audience.

Witnesses to the last moments of Kirk
Frank Turek, a Christian apology and mentor of Kirk, was with him on the day of assassination and helped to send him to the hospital.
Turek had previously opened the experience of witnessing Kirk Die and shared additional details about how he helped to move Kirk to a car and carried him to the nearest hospital.

“I was shouting a lot,” he said. “And I want you to know that we did everything we can to save Charlie. But Charlie was already gone.”
