Shilpa Shinde’s Statement on Shubhangi Atre Leads to New Brouhaha; Sourabh Raj Jain Brands it ‘Lacking Basic Decency’

The comeback of Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain 2.0 promised the viewers another round of fun and laughter, but before the show could deliver any more hilarious scenes, another controversy outside the show hit the headlines. The statement made on actress Shilpa Shinde’s Facebook page has sparked a new debate among television artists and followers of the hit show.
Shilpa, who will soon be back as Angoori Bhabhi after spending almost a decade in the show, talked about Shubhangi in one of her interviews. When told that Shubhangi appreciated her as a good actor, Shilpa accepted the compliment but continued with her own views. He said that although Shubhangi is a good actor and does good comedy shows in his shows, not everyone has the talent to do comedy.
Shilpa also said that acting for a role that was previously played by another actor was not a light pressure. According to Shilpa, no matter how much hard work is done, there is always a whiff of plagiarism.
However, the comments did not sit well with some in the audience. Viewers, especially those who supported the TV show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Pare, felt that the comments were discredited as Shubhangi Atre portrayed Angoori Bhabhi in the TV show for almost a decade and gained immense popularity for her performance. It didn’t take long for this backlash to spread to actors in the television industry.
Actor Sourabh Raj Jain reacted strongly on social media platforms without pointing fingers at Shilpa. The actor who replaced them and entertained the audience and won their hearts for a decade said that the original actor, who left the role a long time ago, could not comment on the new actor’s position and comedic talent. He concluded by saying that humility is the most important thing.
The issue once again brought to light the sensitivities regarding casting changes in television series.
