Six arrested in Amritsar with 4 k.g. heroin, 2 pistols: Punjab Police

Punjab police claimed that on Thursday, September 25, 2025, with the arrest of six people from Amritsar, he had caught a narcotics and weapon supply network and collected two firearms, including 4.03 kg heroin and 9 mm Glock guns.
Arrested, Jagir Singh Alias Scheya (35), Angrej Singh (20), Lakhwinder Singh Alias Lucky (24) and Baljinder Singh (42), all Ferozepur Singh (30) and Palwinder Singh (35) and DGP Gaurav Yavan from Tarn Taran.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the defendants were in contact with a processor named Pakistani -based processor through social media.
“In the defendants, Khemkaran and Ferozepur sectors, Pakistani smugglers in Amritsar region by using drones for supply in the Amritsar region was pushed to the conscience of heroin and weapons.” He said.
Amritsar commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, who shared the details of the operation, said that Jagir and Nangrej, who run ‘Dhaba’ in Cousins and Ferozepur in an intelligence leadership, were arrested with 220 GM heroin and a Glock gun.
The Bhullar, based on the statements made by the duo, Gurpreet, Palwinder, Lakhwinder and Baljinder were later arrested.
