Six held for brutal murder of realtor in Kapra; one absconding

Five men and a 17-year-old boy were arrested by Jawahar Nagar police in connection with the murder of real estate agent Ghanta Venkata Ratna Kumar at Saket Colony in Kapra.

On December 8, he was attacked and killed by a group of attackers. Investigators found that the accused, Chandan Singh, 33, held a grudge against the victim, accusing him of cheating his family of their ancestral property and the death of his father.

The accused are 28-year-old Kamarapu Naresh Kumar, a mechanic, along with auto garage owner Chandan Singh; Vadde Venkata Narayan, a 35-year-old security guard; Nandyala Pavan Kumar, 20, a garage worker; Narsing; and a teenager. Karan Singh, brother of prime accused Chandan Singh, is still at large.

Police seized 7 pistols with cartridges, 1 village-made firearm with cartridges, 2 sickles, 2 knives, mobile phones, 1 autorickshaw and a motorcycle from the suspects. Further investigation is ongoing.
